opening a bank account by an overseas PI

I am from the USA and would like to ido some Property investment in Australia. Am I allowed to open a bank account in an Australian Bank?

Hi,

Did you want to open a Bank account as in transactions? Or are you after lending in Australia?

I know you said Bank Account but just want to make sure.

On the bank account side not sure currently, had a cousin open an ANZ account here, she lives in Germany but while on holiday's in Oz opened the account.
