I'd agree with Sharon; just use them for fun as their
scientific basis is not strong (much like various myths
about property). Academics in positions of influence
are as much governed by fad and fashion as the rest
of us in lending credibility to these sorts of tests.

It's amazing how often one can recognise some personal
traits in a wide variety of descriptions and texts, whether
it be horoscopes or learned books on autism.

They can't all be right and some discrimination is needed.

G'day Annie,

How come I seem to be the only extrovert????????????????????!!!!!!
You must've missed the posts from about 5 to 14 then.... A whole bunch of "that other type" :D

I'm INTJ, dunno how I got to even type this for you :eek:

Regards,

I'm a ESTJ.

# moderately expressed extrovert

I can agree with that- I judge ppl till the cows come home and can always see what they are doing wrong (assuming my ways are right - OF COURSE!!)

Hehehe..

"If others wish to fool around and daydream, fine, as long as they do it on their own time-which means after the job is done."

That made me laugh- my boyfriend is a bit of a dreamer and I always feel its my duty to bring him back to earth.. maybe I should keep my mouth shut sometimes ;)

Occupations attracting ESTJs include teaching, coaching, banking, political office, and management at all levels. <-- BOOOOORING

I came up as being dead smack in the middle on all four scales....... :p

Don't feel bad about that, Psychology is a hobby of mine and I have foudn that a lot of people can not get a clear definition in these tests..

I am an example of this, with Text Boost ESTP and ESFP tendancies.. Strange, but I have a foot in each camp. If you research into each individual behaviour it will make sense. Something more to consider is the superior and inferior functions, which most people don;t take into account when performing these tests. That is the onyl true way to get closer to your true type. Although I am still a foot in T and J after that.. :)

I'm an ENFJ too.

You are:

* moderately expressed extrovert
* moderately expressed intuitive personality
* moderately expressed feeling personality
* moderately expressed judging personality

Interesting stuff. Thanks for the link. :)

Yorik, Psychology is a bit more than a hobby for me, and I can factually state this is not a genuine, well-researched, authenticated personality test.

Yorik, I had tongue hanging out of mouth with my comment....:p

wasn't meant to be serious....was making fun of the Myers Briggs test....

If I come up dead smack in the middle, then theoretically I am unable to be categorized, which implies I am void of a personality :rolleyes:

Goooood Grief! The TFB...devoid of personality. :p :D Who'd have thought it!

We did this at work this week. I came out as an INTJ. I think a lot can be taken out of these tests if you want to. Just reading the booklet that comes with it is really interesting. If you don't read in to it too much and don't go make life changing decisions based purely on the data then it can be very useful information. Another tool in the box.
