You need to provide more info for me to give you an idea on whether your strategy may work. In saying this Timing for this was best 2 years ago though suburb/area will be the clincher today
You very well could have timed it better as current builds have been blown out due to tradie shortages and price increases but if your willing to make the effort to meet with them you should be able to find some willing builders.
