The concrete footings on the post was mixed bye hand/mixer to save $$ this was the hardest part of the job..

But hey who needs a gym membership when you got renos to do.
 
Ross Auction for the Jarrah $550 for a pack of 360lm bought two as 10% of the Jarrah was unusable with twists and splits.

The neighbors were a little worried when they saw the posts going up. But once I told them the plan they offered some of left over Jarrah from their patio.

Seems to be doing the trick with the wind, but not had a real test yet with a strong sea breeze. Will have to wait for next summer.
