Priming tin roof.

I'm planning on painting my old tin roof. I've bought Solarguard paint in a charcoal colour. There is some rust but only surface stuff. I will rub the rust areas back but was wondering what you would recommend for a primer? ( if any?).

Hi Dylan,

I think you'll find Solarguard is self-priming so primer not required.

I would though, use a rust converter on the surface rust first, just to be on the safe side.
