Property Development and Investment TAFE

Hi everyone,

First time poster on the site. I am wondering if anyone has done the Property Development and Investment course through TAFE/OTEN?

I along with my fiance have 3IP's and am looking to broaden my knowledge on all things RE. Just wondering if anyone had any opinions on the course.

What does the course entail? Is it a building course?

The subjects from the Selected Study Program.

- Conduct a property investment feasibility study
- Develop a property investment strategy
- Manage performance of property investment
- Identify and interpret statutory planning process
- Assess and report on property improvements
- Determine residential value and report
- Implement maintenance plan for managed properties
- Prepare and present property reports
- Appraise property
- Determine viability of regeneration options in the property industry

It is not a construction course nor does it give you a formal qualification at the end (units are transferable to other related tafe courses however). Personally I like the idea that it looks to give some pretty good info without someone trying to sell you their product.

The course costs $1328.

I guess it's ok....but those things are things that you learn from doing property investment yourself over time. But for $1,328 it might be tax deductible so it's not too bad
