I'd like to find a very apartment in a secure building with a nice outdoor terrace and a view, somewhere within 20 mins drive of where I currently live. My family and friends are here, and I'm planning on traveling regularly anyway and as such would like a nice base in a familiar location to come back to.

VYV8...that's a very sound idea...maybe I should stop dreaming and stay put and just travel to the beach for extended periods....
It is quite nice here in the bush, especially in the cooler months, we have campfires and cook campoven bush tucker etc, and just 3-4 hrs to the coast & Syd for the warmer months trips...think I'll keep the boat now.
