Roof Drainage

Dear Forum,
The drainpipe collector box on the rooftop above my unit needs a repair, as someone has cut holes in it to allow water to flow down the side of the building.
The PM has indicated they will get a quote from a plumber.
My question is does this qualify as common property, or is it my responsibility to bear the cost, as I own the rooftop.
Even so I consider it to something that has been done wilfully and not fair wear and tear.
Regards

I think you'll find that you do not own the rooftop :). Most likely it is common property and the body corporate's responsibility to fix external plumbing like this...actually I'm sure it is the BCs responsibility.

FYI, I know those things as 'rain heads' if you're talking to body corporate people and they need to know what you're on about.

And as propertunity said, you only own the inside of your unit not the outside :)
