Splitting up large bedroom to create a second room

Hi Guys,
I've got a good sized bedroom that has an arch in the middle, which I think is large enough to be converted into two rooms.
Was just wondering how much would it cost to install a wall or partition to where the arch is? There are two doors to the current bedroom so entrance isn't an issue..

Photo attached.

Thanks

do what I did for a property in QLD, and move the entire wall closer to the window, to make that smaller room bigger, as some people are turned off by tiny bdrs

Gun builders/handy guys can remove and put up a wall in less then a day, some in half a day!

I just noted that the ground isn't completely flat between the two sections where the arch is, so it might be odd the smaller room has a section that's higher if I move the wall completely.

maybe $3k if you get a quote as they'll incoporate contingency

but if you DIY or hire someone by the hour,

conservatively

$35 per hour example x 2 -3 days including paint/plaster etc

$840 in labour

materials
$100 in paint,
$50 in plaster
$50 in cornice
$200 in Plaster
$200 in timber
$40 in angles
$200 misc

$840 in materials

thats $1680 all up

obviosuly depends on the area and going rate for workers
