Strata - Flooring change and insurance

I live in a small strata complex of townhouses and mine is free-standing. The carpets are old and I am looking to put in wood or bamboo flooring instead (checked to make sure the sound proofing meets regulations)

I am fairly comfortable with the strata side of things - getting owners corporation approval etc.

My question is is there any co-relation between what flooring is there in the house and your building insurance? Is there any chance that the insurance becomes void cos I had wooden flooring as compared to the carpets when the insurance was purchased?
