Sydney's two residential islands

Any views on these?

I don't want to buy here...however Scotland Island and Dangar Island have always held some fascination for me.

I know someone who bought on scotland island, and got sick of the constant car break ins at the ferry carpark. I think the residents eventually all contributed to a permanent security guard.

I've done a bit of work on Dangar Island.

It's a very close knit community, where everyone knows what is going on with each other.

Personally, that's not for me. But I can understand the appeal.

I used to play golf with a guy that lived on Dangar Island. After a few years the isolation and long drives caught up with him and he moved on.

I have friends who live at dangar and have visited a few times. Personally I think it's a beautiful spot. I think sometimes carrying shopping at night in the rain from the boat to the house ain't that idyllic but for the most part they love the lifestyle and don't mind the commute too much.
