Telephone Box ??

thats not a driveway,
there is detail you missed
in the OLD google image, (image date November 2009) that's a cheap fence, some of which has been five-finger-discounted, the gate is on the left

in the current RE image, the whole fence has been removed.
You can put the driveway anywhere your planning dept says, 180[sup]o[/sup] behind, both driveways run down the sides of the lots

It has been for sale since 2009, that may give some leverage

If the numbers add up, go for it

No crossover appears to be installed so you can put the driveway on either side of the powerpole with typically at least one metre clearance from the edge of the driveway to the powerpole. If the phone box it still there then you'd need a one metre clearance to that also.

You will need council approval to build the crossover although given there is not one currently it shouldn't be an issue where you locate it so long as it is practical. Given the site constraints and the fact there is the power pole, phone box and existing tree on the right hand side of the property, the logical place to situate the crossover and driveway is on the left hand side of the lots frontage.

Ashmont in Wagga is not the nicest part of town. Ensure you do your research and not just the sums. Many anecdotal evidence including it being difficult to find PMs to manage properties.
