Termination clause in MAA

Just wondering does anyone adjust the standard 30 days notice to something shorter? eg 7 or 14 days?

I am thinking of doing this as I will self manage at some stage but don't want to get off on the wrong track with the PM if it is not something commonly done.

Yep, common to amend the termination clause, I set mine at 14 days. One PM wasn't interested but the others said no problems. So guess which PM didn't the the management. If the PM is confident of their service they should have no issues just don't tell them its so you can self manage tell its more about you being able to change if they fail to deliver.

Most of mine are the standard 30 days, but I have noticed that some of the larger companies try to lock in LL's for the term of the tenant or for 1 year and there is an exit fee if they try to leave earlier! Who the hell would sign one of those??
