Very interesting articles.
I wonder, has anyone here had a near death experience such as being in an accident and close to death, and if so, what went through your mind?
When I was 19yo I got caught in a rip at the beach, was about 200m from shore. Waves were very high, I was swallowing lots of water, everything was going blurry I reached the point where I wasn't bothered struggling to stay above water anymore because it was too hard, then I felt very peaceful. There was literally nothing to worry about because there was soon to be nothing. So I felt complete peace.
Anyway somehow about 10 seconds after I gave up I randomly placed my feet on a high spot of sand all the way out there from shore. And I could stand up with the water at about chest level and take some breaths until the surf life savers arrived.
I don't think people should worry about death. Worry and regret is for the living to do. When you are about to die you realise there is nothing, nothing to worry about, nothing at all. And it's peaceful
