wall cladding

I am looking at putting in a 2 year old 3 BR transportable house on a block of land in a country town. Only problem is it is a commercial transportable. Council say it will look like a shed with it's vertical colorbond cladding.

Council want some sort improved wall cladding and verandahs. Also need infill between the ground and building.

I was thinking vinyl or timber weatherboards. I have found that fibro cement weatherboards quite heavy and therefore require lots of screws. They do not need to be weatherproof or draught proof as the origional wall cladding will remain. It is a sandwich panel anyway so must remain.

Also better to be light weight to reduce number of screws to attach.

Any ideas?

Hi Stirling

Vinyl weatherboards seem the most appropriate to me.
You only really want them for appearance so they will do the job equally or better than other products of greater mass.
No maintenance.
