What are your plans for 2015

I will go back and revisit 2014 to see how I did (if I tried to use my crystal ball at all at the beginning!) but for now let's look into the murky swirling mysts of the 2015 crystal ball

I predict 2015 to be a massive year for me.
- get building license and 3 apartments in Highgate WA to site
- get the DA for Highgate WA 4 houses that was lodged late 2014 approved, building license and to site
- get the DA for Blackminster Mindarie 4 apartments approval and to site and SOLD OTP
- get DA for 5 townhouses in North Perth then sit on it to stagger work
- get DA for 6 apartments in North Perth then sit on it to stagger work
- wait for preliminary report from WAPC to come out and see if the City of Vincent Town Planning Rezoning is going ahead. Then get DA for North Peth mixed use project of commercial and 4-5 apartments above

- get my REA license so I can be offer BA services as part of my development consultant business.

I don't know if I will buy anything in 2015. I'll see what the market is doing and if something I like comes up.

In general life we will start building our PPOR, continue our semi retirement (aka working for myself in pyjamas), travel to Hong Kong and some other travel trips I haven't schemed up yet.

WM you are going to be very very busy in 2015, but what an achievement great stuff.

In 2015 I am planning to:

- commence building 3 villas
- visit Brisbane again
- buy a new dev site
- move into our new PPOR
- stop working long hours but it's still more than what I'm paid for
- visit Adelaide
- continue to learn new things from the many people on SS

Plans for 2015:

  • Keep saving (at least half my income) and accumulating shares
  • Complete both Kokoda Trek and Everest Base Camp
  • Travel to Singapore and India
  • Maybe buy IP number 5 or think about PPOR (depending how much cash I put into shares)
  • Get my overall portfolio (shares and property) positively geared
  • Refocus on fitness
  • Keep working, enjoying life, my great girlfriend, friends and family

Plans for 2015 which will keep me busy:

Become a dad for the second time :D
Squeeze in a holiday somewhere
Complete developing 4 x 4 unit sites
Commence the PPOR build and hopefully finish it by December
Obtain planning permits for 2 x 10 apartment sites
Less time consulting (minimal in fact), more time with family & friends
Refocus on fitness

Forgot the biggest one's on my plan list..

-review my PROGRESS every 3 months towards my 2015 goals-if not why not?
-biggest failing of a plan is not writing it down and also not being held accountable for actions on plan....my wife has taken care of this one:D

Cheers

3. Buy one of my children their first car (secondhand);
4. Encourage another child to continue studying;
5. Lose a few kilos;
6. Start yoga again;
7. Look after myself so that I can do all of the above.

8. And start paying off another ppty I just bought. (although that comes a distant 8th to all of the above).

Some awesome goals here. Looks like 2015 will be a big one!

1. Complete 6 small projects. 2 builds about half complete now, 4 scheduled in Jan, 2 in June. Ideally acquire 2-4 more sites during the year as well.
2. Complete first 5 pack townhouse development. Site under contract currently
3. Find a site to build a mid term PPOR
4. Be a supportive husband during preparation for the birth of our first child in May.
5. Continue to be a supportive husband after the birth
6. Get back on mountain bike. Surgeon says I can from January onwards.
7. Look at options to step back from work and focus more on property.

Let's see how we go! Will be an interesting 12 months.

There are some incredible plans listed here. You guys are amazing!

I don't tend to make too many investment plans as they are largely on autopilot.

The only planned item so far is a trip on the Orient Express from Istanbul to Venice and dining at Alan Ducasse's Le Louis XV restaurant in Monte Carlo to celebrate turning over my 5th decade.

God willing I can also keep my job .

My big plan for 2015 is to visit my oldest daughter who is now living and working in London and perhaps tour Scotland and just have one hell of a time.

The Orient Express sounds amazing. Have fun. One day I'd love to do it.

- Significantly, positively impact the lives of a few people
- Become a better human
- Gain new qualifications
- Launch new business
- Build multiple passive and active income streams
- Renovate PPOR (or an IP, depending on whether tenants remain)
- Read 50 books
- Remain fit and healthy as ever
- Invest > 10% of my income in myself (education, personal development etc)
- Trip to Europe
- Keep working on my mindset
- Have the best year of my life, again
- Increase net worth more than I did last year

I plan to finally make a start on my property goals. I've been thinking about buying somewhere a little further North in QLD for a while (maybe Rockhampton or Yeppoon since I have friends up that way).

I've been lurking around these forums for a while now and definitely have some research to do! There are some impressive portfolios around here and I'm pretty keen to get started on the same path!

Besides that, keep getting into shape and pushing for more business.

Goals for 2015

- Support hubby in growing his businesses (1. IT consulting 2. product development)
- Support him in finalising his patent pending
- Enjoy our trip to South America (starting next week but going until Feb 2015)
- do something with my education (2014 saw me graduate with a Grad. Dip and publish publish an article in a peer reviewed journal - so something similar would be good)
- get a website up and running for my private practice and expand/grow said practice (hopefully into something that will allow me to exit from full time employment by 2016)
- look at starting a family :)

In terms of investing I doubt I will be able to convince hubby to buy stuff as our cash is tied up businesses and he would be worried about the risk. I have all year to work him around to my way of thinking.

People starting new businesses in 2015, I would live to hear what the businesses are.

im focusing on hospitality personally but will keep my options open with others.

at this stage it's looking like nightclub, bar and maybe a food venue

- Sell one IP
- Buy new PPOR
- Move to new area, kids both in high school
- Be more sociable - spent most 2014 getting rid of the 'rental property' look from renting out PPOR for a couple of years. Transformation was rewarding.
- Doing canteen duty once a month
- holiday in Bris for a couple of weeks to visit family/friends
- holiday in Fiji
- keep IP's cash flow positive
- reduce living expenses, mainly internet and lunches
- healthier diet for all the family
- renovate boat ASAP (watch hubby), spend lots of time on it!
