In the current market I thought it'd be interesting to do a recap of what $1 million buys you anywhere in Australia.

This place in Adelaide just sold at auction on the weekend for $985k.

No house in my suburb has ever sold for 1m. I think 780k is the highest so far. I only know of two properties over 700k.

For 600-700k I can buy a lovingly restored old Queenslander on a big block and would love to do so someday!

The first place looks to be about 4 kms from the Colorado Springs CBD. Not a huge city though....

Looks OK to me TF. Horses, dirtbikes and plenty firewood. Bonfires, no neighbours peaking over the fence.

Perhaps he means it's hell being stuck in the big smoke because of his work or something like that?
Hell because of how little he can buy there for a mil? Dunno?
