What would you drive

awesome idea mtr!

*RS4 WAGON DAILY DRIVE

*GT2 PORSCHE WEEKEND/ TRACK CAR

*1955 GULLWING MERCEDES FOR THE GARAGE

Have a look at magnus walkers youtube videos if you love your porsches!

I had one of those in the early 90s.

and you drove it for years I bet.

built like a tank, small square box, strong engine, timing chain, interchangeable parts with other models, great suspension. And cheap back then, but look at the prices now. But later model cars are far safer.

Gave it a hammering and it still held its own then got a 180b SSS Coupe.

Should have held on to them as Japaneese classics from the 70s are tipped to be the next appreciating car class as still relatively affordable.

How does it compare to Cayenne?

smaller, around the size of a Q5. i like the cayenne too but its a bit too big for me and obviously more expensive.

good time to be buying luxury cars, a friend just got a $130k brand new car for $104k

If $ was not an issue what would you drive??

This car collection is over the top and I am totally in love with all these cars.

This is what I want when I grow up - the 1955 Porsche Spyder.

MTR:)

Jerry is a nice guy in real life. I briefly met him once in NYC and he was very friendly and down to earth. You can see his personality shine through during this AMA he did last year.

I just read an article about Jonathan Ive who designed the iPod, iPhone, iPad etc and he drives a black Bentley Mulsanne. Nice car for about $350k and probably my choice if I lived somewhere with good roads.

I like the Mercedes sports. But I wouldn't like the insurance, so I'm quite happy with my Holden, which has a couple of dings from hitting a kangaroo (lightly) and kids not quite making car spaces.

I also like Alfa Romeos. Soft top BMWs are nice too.

I have to admit I'm a bit of a redneck at heart so I'd love a Ford Raptor pick up truck, closest thing you can get to a Trophy Truck on road ( https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Mmh-ew1swD4 ) or a very well built Shelby Ford Cobra replica.
I'm a bit partial to the old gullwing door Mercs too but just can't go past that V8 note.
