It's between one of Kylie's lesser known songs (with Nick Cave) Where the Wild Roses Grow - really dark (off the Murder Ballads album), The Ship Song & "Throw your arms around me " by the Hunters and Collectors.

For goodness sake! That is *not* one of Kylie's songs. It's a Bad Seeds song, which Kylie does guest vocals on.

My pick is: everything Melvins have ever recorded, except the stuff they did with Jello Biafra. The music is great but his vocals ruin it.

... Sweet Mary.

Sanj, if I ever come to Perth, can we please be friends?! :D

I find that the hooks from hip hop songs often get stuck in my head far deeper than any other genre of music. Probably something to do with the repetition and rhyming.

Fugees - Fugee-la ("oo la la la!")
B.I.G. - Juicy ("It was all a dream!"
B.I.G. - Gimme the loot ("You're talkin to the robbery expert, step into your wake with your blood, on my shirt")
2pac - Tell me how you want it
Blackstar - Thieves in the night
Mos Def - Mathematics
Kanye - All Falls Down
Kanye - Two Words
Wu Tang - C.R.E.A.M.
De La - Stakes is High

Any of these songs get stuck in my ear for days after listening.

OK here's some more lol

Radio birdman - Aloha Steve & Danno
Pet Shop Boys - It's A Sin
Judas Priest- Turbo Lover
Kasier Chiefs - Everyday I Love You Less And Less
Nas - Heaven
Nas - made you look
50 Cent - 21 Questions
Billy Idol - To Be A Lover 12 (Full version)
Eminem - White America
Ice T - Body Count
Metallica - Wherever I May Roam
Savage Garden - Break Me Shake Me

and most things from The Cult

I'm also enjoying at the moment

Robin Thicke - Blurred Lines
Naughty Boy Feat Sam Smith - La La La
John Newman - Love Me Again

Haha sure no problem. Love mos and black star too of course.

Fun fact for a wu tang fan like you -in 2004 I was the first person to bring method man and Redman to australia and new Zealand for a tour, did the buggn tour with them, rahzel, js1, dj premier, dj Kool etc

Mr Fab, I know that, you know that but bu99er all others realise it was NC's song. It's just like using 'Red right hand' as the backing track for the visit the Barossa adverts or the track used in Shrek 2 - he is way bigger OS than at home.

As for Jello Biafra - Dead Kennedys rule. Brings me back to my misspent youth. Painters & Dockers were another great band - 'Die Yuppie Die'.

I listened to DK's back in the day, but haven't in over 20 years. I have absolutely no respect for Jello Biafra at all, but I won't go off on a tangent, lol.

Some more great Aussie acts, that I never get tired of listening to:

- Cosmic Psychos
- Rose Tattoo
- The Saints
- AC/DC (Bon Scott stuff only)
- Destroyer 666

Some non-Aussie stuff I like is:

- Dinosaur Jr. Pretty much every record is great, but lately I've been jamming Beyond and I Bet On Sky a lot.
- Sonic Youth - Daydream Nation
- Slayer - Reign In Blood, aka The Best Metal Album Ever Produced
- Michael Jackson - Off The Wall
- High On Fire - De Vermis Mysteriis
- Guns n Roses - Appetite For Destruction
- Faith No More - Angel Dust & Album of The Year

I tend to listen to full albums rather than individual songs.

These are the song come to my mind as I would close my eyes to listen.
Gangsta's Paradise (Coolio)
Bob Marley Buffalo Soldier
Backstreet Boys - Everybody
Fast car -Tracy Chapman
Pharrell Williams - Happy
Guy Sebastian - Battle Scars
and shamelessly Katy Perry's Roar (thanks to my six year old daughter)

I don't think I'll come to a party with any of you on this forum :)
