Tenants Request To Pay Power Bill

I wouldn't be reimbursing them either. They knew that the hws was faulty and didn't report it. If they had have reported it to the pm who didn't tell you about it, then they should seek compensation from the pm.

    Cat urine smell in house.

the best thing I have used for cat wee in carpet, is Biozet laundry powder. The enzymes in it kills the smell (usually a couple of scrubs) has to be oxyaction, I think napisan is ok also.

    Interests

what a fun thread, great to read about all the different hobbies and interests. I breed Ragdoll Kittens. We have our first litter of 5 babies, who are now 9 weeks old and will be ready for new homes around Valentine's Day. I have been showing for about 2 years, and I think I am an official...

    Interest rates...impact of floods?

The house wasn't there in '74, but it is on stumps that were supposed to have brought it higher than the flood level. Just another metre higher and it would have been right.

    EBM vs Terri Scheer

I will be pulling my building insurance with Terri Scheer, since they don't offer flood cover. Have made a claim with l/lord insurance with them, no probs, but we are changing to Suncorp for building.

    Interest rates...impact of floods?

Interest Rate Rises, that's all we need after our flooded investment property wasn't insured for floods.

Xmas presents - is it all worth the fuss?

I enjoy buying for my daughters, but I find it stressfull having to buy for nieces, nephews, inlaws etc. I suggested today that next year we do a secret santa, and instead of exchanging (mostly) gift vouchers, that we buy one special present for one person only. I will still buy for my kids...

    Tenant requesting an Air Conditioner...

I just had two split system air conditioners installed in two properties. A new Harvey Norman has opened here, so I got some good prices - 2 x 7.5kw Samsung reverse cycle inverters installed for $3,200. I also had the option of interest free for 5 years, but prefer to use my visa (my reward...

    Do you use a dishwasher?

I have only had a dishwasher for 12 months, but I LOVE it! Keeps the benches and the sink clear, and washes far superior than I ever did :) Couldn't imagine life without it now.

Why pets should be allowed in houses

We allow pets in our rental properties, the houses are all fully fenced with yards, they are not allowed to have dogs in the house (unless they are small pocket pet types of dogs), and our retirement units, the bc allows pocket pet dogs, and cats. Have never had any problems with the pets, the...

    seaworld

I was at Seaworld last month, and was disappointed that they no longer have the water ski show, it was great to watch and has been going forever. The lake is still there though, but I also thought it was a ripoff to get into the waterpark at the back.

    second storey extensions

thanks for all the replies, I had some plans emailed to me today from a company, for jobs which they have completed, including contract prices. They range from $111,000 to $155,000, and this has at least given us an idea. I am going to get a guy from the company to come and have a look, he may...

    second storey extensions

yes, we would of course. Don't think we would have any problems as we are on acreage, and we know others who have done it with approval. We wouldn't even really need a kitchenette, just a couple of bedrooms and a bathroom.

    second storey extensions

but think of the exercise :) If it were possible, we'd simply extend on the same level, but we are on a hilly block, and our house is on cut and fill, with no room to move in any direction except up. We do have a flat pad about 30 metres up the hill, where we could build a second dwelling (ie...

    second storey extensions

Hi we are trying to decide whether to add a second storey to our home, or build a freestanding building with a couple of bedrooms, and a bathroom. We need more space as our girls grow older, and don't know which way to go. We know roughly how much a freestanding building would cost, but have...
