Serviceability - Offset v Term Deposit

cos i didnt see it? I never suggested having 500k in there, nor locking money away for 5 years...neither I would do... Its about making the most efficient use of the money whilst saving it for something else... Thanks for the helpful contribution tho!

Serviceability - Offset v Term Deposit

Question was purely because I wanted to understand how it worked as I thought the difference would be negligible =) Margs point is good, if you have the PPOR thats the best spot to stick it. Cheers for the responses

Serviceability - Offset v Term Deposit

Query I have following on from Sash's comment: from this thread. This is probably more a Q for the brokers...but is that true? I would have thought have 100,000k in an offset where the loan is at 7% would be better then having 100,000k in a term deposit of 6%... In the offset...

    Favourite Coffee Shop or Cafe

I should start out by saying I'm pretty biased on this topic, i'm a self-taught barista and have spent years working the coffee machine...its not about the coffee so much as who's making it! Milk shouldn't be burnt, it should be in the 65-72 degree range. That said, the coffee machine should...

    2011 freaky fact

How did you get to a 'G'? The result should always be 4, as you are essentially quadrupeling the first number and then dividing by the original number? Or did I miss your point :P

    Conditions

Generally, I would suggest that if the obligation is on the vendor to pull out the stump, then if the vendor does not, the vendor is in breach and the purchaser can terminate or sue for specific performance(ie. force the vendor to do it) / damages etc. It would be a very unlikely situation...

Brisbane - Who'll lend 80%+ on CBD units?

Thanks everyone...I'll need to consider what I am doing! The loan is currently variable and has been with homeside for 2.5years. The purpose of the refinance is two-fold: 1) purchase out my brother's interest (always intended + he needs the money) - am happy to stay with homeside; 2)...
