Some interior designers are just rip offs
i had a quote for $15,000 for a full design of an apartment, kitchen, bathroom, chosen products etc. where else i could have just gotten a building designer to do it for $1000-$1500
Also - some just wanna spend the whole super high end without understanding what someone is trying to achieve.
It also depends on the architect's sense of style etc and his skillset, a green building architect expert, prefab experience etc. Some architects specialize in having great looking doors but for me my choice or interior designer and architect is someone who is an expert in space management and understanding what to do to minimize costs. I wouldn't want to spend more than i should have.
