Arranging renovation at a distance.

Hi Folks

We have a property in inner Melbourne which we need to sell. We really need to give it some TLC before it goes onto the market.
The agent said he could arrange everything but I like to spend my money.

I will need a painter, if you have any recommendations, much appreciated.

It also needs new blinds and floor coverings. The agent suggested leaving the windows bare. Any thoughts?

I may need to change the kitchen cupboards but keep the bench tops. And last but not least there are two bathrooms that are looking very tired so I may need a tiler.

Your thoughts, suggestions and recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Will the property be vacant when it goes on the market? If so, I would fly down and meet with a stylist to furnish your house for sale. While it can cost a bit, in the majority of cases you will at least make your money back. Ask them for some ideas on flooring/window coverings and then in the afternoon have the trades come to measure/quote those items. I think it would be money very well spent.
