Can you recommend an Accountant in Sydney?

Hi all, new to the forum and property investing.

From reading through posts (for hours and hours daily it seems haha), I feel I need to have the right accountant in my corner. Can anyone suggest someone I should see? I live in the Hills area, but will travel for the right person/partnership.

I have a great mortgage broker working with me which has helped immensely, but unfortunately my current Accountant and I don't 'gel'. I don't have a financial planner (reading so many conflicting reports on whether I need one or not) and no one in my family invests - so no mentor or guide to bounce ideas off.

So my question is - firstly, can you recommend an accountant?

And secondly do you have a financial advisor or mentor for your investing career, or did you go it alone?

I'm near the Hills District and Blacktown region. I currently use a local accountant, but that isn't a prerequisite. Happy to drive into the city or basically anywhere in the Sydney region if the recommendation is strong enough.

I don't work for house of wealth. I have done some legal work for them and have a few mutual clients.

Just wondering Terry, why are you shown on House of Wealth website and have their domain email address as a contact if you dont work for them?

I can explain that one as ive just joined james down at house of wealth.

Some clients wanted an in house estate planning specialist and some legal work e.g. unitholder agreements, etc so terry is providing those services as a specialist consultant.

He has a house of wealth email so he can keep track of them and clients know it is from house of wealth. Terry has an independent contractor agreement but isnt an employee.

    Hope this helps explain things

I just spotted him on the about us page and was curious, this was not meant to spark a "please explain" side topic. I was never questioning the reason for the referral! :)

Yes, what Coasty said. I don't work for House of Wealth, but have been doing some work with some clients of House of Wealth.

I have no financial, legal or equitable or other interests in the business either.

Today I have just come home from Steve Mcknight seminar, hence the late reply.

Steve was good, but it was actually a seminar run by Derek Gehl on internet marketing. Actually a good seminar.
