DA Approved - finally after 131 days...

Finally, Stirling council have approved my development application. 131 days since submission. The plans have been built as submitted over a hundred times in Stirling previously, so no real reason for any delays. Absolutely outrageous how long they are taking, but finally things can get moving.

They increase the zoning in areas to encourage more apps but stick with their 1 staff member to review them

+1 to staffing being the issue. Too many applications, not enough staff.

Welcome to my world. I lodged 2 DAs on the same day with the same council. One a 1.2 mill indoor rock climbing facility. The other a change of use in an industrial area.

Rock climbing wall approved in 15 days. Minor change of use 90 days.

Explain that one.

It will probably get worse with the amalgamation of the councils :/

Stirling is not affected much by amalgamation though..the outer suburbs will get affected more..
