Hi All, being a professional guitar player will colour my answer:
1) Pink Floyd / any David Gilmour music; this man is such a talented musician. I have his 3rd solo offering "On an Island". The final Floyd album "The Division Bell" has such melodic, moving guitar playing. Also the best song IMHO is "Comfortably Numb" with its haunting major and minor key guitar solos. www.davidgilmour.com
2) Ritchie Blackmore's latest foray into Celtic progressive rock with his partner Candice Night (stunning woman; gorgeous lush voice). The new band is called "Blackmore's Night" and has many CD's and a DVD available. His playing on electric and acoustic guitars is just fabulous and coloured with many trills and other renaissance-style ornaments. Check out www.blackmoresnight.com for info.
3) My duo Modal Harmony (of course!)
