How long does a DA and a BA last for before it lapses and you have to go through the whole process again. I am talking about the Brisbane city council / ipswich council and logan council regions.
My understanding is that it lasts for two years, but can be extended at a cost (although I'm not sure extension is still available - may have to apply again).
Not sure if there's a similar thing up North, but here (Lake Macquarie City Council) a DA for a staged development stays live from the first peg in the ground Very handy for longer term projects, especially since they keep changing requirements (fire, water etc).
