Hi all, just a quick question about housing commision houses. is there a map or something out there that we are able to look at to see what areas in a suburb are housing commision? is there a way to determine the area without going thru it?

You can contact the State Dept that deals with land in your State (Landgate in WA) and they will produce a map at a fee that shows the govt agency that manages/owns the land. The private owned land will not be detailed. Hope that gives you a starting point.
