It gives a nice clear overview of how rates have been over the past 18 years or so.

Since I am relatively young and never really took notice of the economy in the late 80s/90s, what was it that caused such high interest rates and the recession 'we had to have' .. and not to be to much of a D&G'er but do we think the government can control it this time?
