I like the nice older suburbs like Denmark Hill, East Ipswich, parts of Booval, Silkstone

Denmark Hill is nice but (relatively) expensive. East Ipswich/Eastern Heights is good value imo.

can I grab peoples opinion on redbank vs redbank plains,

according to my research redbank used to be while some agents still say is better then redbank,

but median prices, plains seems to have overtaken redbank

is this one of those true cases of spill oversuburbs are better in terms of CG %

Redbank Plains has LOTS of newer housing estates with newer larger homes, I think this probably explains the difference. Redbank Plains was swamped by developers with NRAS stock for a while

I'm wary of population growth figures that consider 'Ipswich City' as a whole. If I'm not mistaken, this is a huge area, including Springfield which surely accounts for most of the actual and predicted growth.

Ipswich has some lovely pockets, my mother-in-law has a landmark property on a hill there somewhere and I enjoy visiting.

But I also remember working there a year, and myself and all the other professionals used to commute from Brisbane (i.e. the richer folk just weren't hanging around to drive prices up imo).
