Is it legal?

I've bought a house/land package in QLD. The contract is a fixed price contract.
Now the certifier gave some report generated from govement website saying because the lot is close to the railway corridor, something may be done to reduce the internal noise. Now the vendor asks me to pay extra for the thick glasses, fences, etc. I wonder if that's legal?

Anyone has the similar experience?

Why not pull the contract out and see what's in the fine print,as far as the legal side go back to the contract, but i think you will find a clause in there somewhere to cover the vendor..willair..
