Congrats. My first born was due end July but born on Aug 5th (28 years ago).
Our latest addition (4th grandchild) was born 3 weeks ago. I can't stop looking at her.
Baby's are certainly a miracle.

As for the sleep thing, I hear it varies from night to night and child to child.... I have a friend whose eldest still doesn't sleep through the night. She's 11

Never had children myself but my ex had 3 boys,4yr old with Cerebral palsy(minor though & was a treasure) & 12 & 15 ....Oh i miss the mayhem & fuzz.

I guess it varies for each baby. Our little girl is still waking about 4 times a night at 4 months.

It certainly does vary hugely.

Our first was waking up many months later through the night. Two days after our second came home, my wife stopped waking her up for night feeds.

Not even then. You've just got different things keeping you awake.

We were really lucky!

At 10 weeks he started sleeping solid 11pm-5am and then gradually got better and better! Now sleeps 7pm-7.30am most nights (except at the moment where he's sick!) although I must add the first two months were absolute hell!

Fingers crossed it's the same for you!

Is it just me that there's a pattern

• If your first is a good sleeper, the second won't be
  
• If your first is a horrible sleeper, the second will be a good sleeper

..Just to keep everyone on thier toes
