How is that relevant? Cocaine is not a performance enhancing drug. EPO is.
I think you will find it is still on WADA banned list irrespective if it is performance enhancing or not.

There's no denying that Lance Armstrong took on cancer and won. His attitude of being a winner 'whatever the cost" seems to be evident in all parts of his life.
This is a trait that is not just in sport but everywhere. If somebody really believes that they are a winner and will do whatever it takes to achieve the outcome they want, then they will probably succeed.
The Australian business landscape is littered with those that had exactly the same belief and the line between national hero and dispised villian can be a very narrow one.
I went on a cycling holiday in France a few years back.
Unbeknownst to me it was when the Tour De France was one. It didn't inconvenience me much, I was just pottering along, visiting wineries and having a great time. I stayed out of there way as much as possible, and tended to push my bike up the steep hills.
Imagine my surprise last night when I got the knock on the door and it turns out that I am the new 2004 Tour De France winner!
Diego Maradona was banned for using coke.
You're missing the point. It's not a performance enhancing drug, like EPO or HGH, or steriods which are SPECIFICALLY used to enhance performance.
haha - as pointed out to me today - Nike dropped Lance Armstrong, but didn't drop Tiger Woods.
Apparently it's okay to cheat on your wife - but not on your bike
No they shouldn't.. one reason being - drugs aren't too healthy for you. Lance started pumping testosterone, cortisone, epo and took blood transfusions back in 95.. pretty good chance they were the cause of his cancer in 97.Frankly I think they should do away with the "level playing field, no drugs in sport" farce and just admit they are rife and have at it. The playing fields are not level now due to training methods, funding, technology etc etc etc so what is one more thing?
Last year Cadel Evans was pushing like a man possessed and came out on top. Good for him....I hope. This year I watched it again, and he was flatter than a pancake. His junior riders who were supposed to be setting the pace for him left him for dead and he simply couldn't catch up. They had to drop back everytime just to find out how far back he was.
