Minor birds

If they are Australian natives - you just do not harm them.

If they are the feral imports such as Indian mynahs, then go for it. How it up to you, but don't be cruel as that's just as wrong. Can't offer advice on how to as my only experience is taking to a vet to do the business.

I remember years ago when I worked at a place that used arsenic to stop insects eating into buried power cables.

One day I finished work and was walking through the carpark when I saw my co-worker crying and picking up dead birds from the ground. He said someone had poisoned them and then he started placing them in a row on the ground.

There would have been 20 or more dead birds. Then I saw others that were half dead and would try and fly but couldn't. Then they too died.

I told my co-worker not to eat any of those birds. I then got in my car and drove home.

Someone had baited those birds with arsenic - very effective!
