Name my business!

Hi All,

As stated (outed?) in another thread I am currently a dirty bank worker but will be venturing into the self employed world in the second half of the year.

After working in lending, as well as other areas of the bank, I will be starting my own mortgage brokering business. Yes, there will be another broker on the forum!

The name of the business is what I'm struggling with.

I quite like 'Right Fit Finance' which seems to be available as an aus business name and domain name as a .com.au but not a .com as it seems to be a business based in the US with the same name so not sure if this would pose a problem if someone types in .com as opposed to .com.au

So I'm throwing it out to the great SS community - what ideas do you have for a business name?

I'd rather not have something with 'mortgage' in the name as I will be doing car finance as well so don't necessarily want to exclude that market.

If I chose a name that you've put forward? Not only do you get the warm and fuzzy feeling that you've helped out but I'll shoot a $50 Myer gift voucher your way.

Just joking of course, but be careful with exposing yourself in public. Also I often wonder with these domain name searches if they keep a view on them and then go and get the good ones for themselves.

Just joking of course, but be careful with exposing yourself in public. Also I often wonder with these domain name searches if they keep a view on them and then go and get the good ones for themselves.

You almost had me going there for a moment....

I thought about the risk of putting the name out there but I'm not totally sold on it yet and if someone wants to be an a*seh*le about it then they can have it and waste their money.

In the end it will just have to be something that gels - and even then you'll be second guessing yourself ...

Unusual or abstract can be good if you are going to trademark it... but they don't obviously tell you what the business is about.
