Outraged scientists stormed out of a government-sponsored climate change conference dinner in Canberra last night, after the strippers booked as entertainment left them all hot and bothered.

LOL. I just read this article in the paper. At first I was a bit concerned that this sort of entertainment is still provided at govt sponsored functions but after reading on it sounded like it was just a raunchy comedy routine and not a full on strip show, and that the women who stormed out may have been over-reacting just a bit. Certainly it wouldn't have offended me at all.

I think what is more appalling is the rediculously low amounts of government funding provided for a scientific forum on what I think is a very important issue - only $3000 from one dept and $5000 from another.

I suppose this is one way of getting publicity for your cause
