Palm Trees

We have 2 large palm trees
American Cotton palms
larger is about 15 m high
smaller about 13m high
does anyone know anyone that might want them
even for free as long they7 pay cost to
take them away.

The sooner you eradicate them the less it will cost.

Every Aussie boy should have a chainsaw in the shed to get rid of inappropriate trees before an expensive pro is needed. I just cut down three royal palms in my IP which had self sewn. They grow bigger'n your cotton palms.

someone just paid my mum $6000 to take 2 palms from the front of her house. ($3000 each). They guy told me that he was going to on sell them for $1000 per meter and they were around 11 to 12 meters. Not sure what kind they were but certainly in demand.

ring a couple of landscape gardeners[big company] in your area and they may be able to direct you to someone who buys these palms.
They are sought after for very big developments. ie hotels.casinos
A bloke l know buys them around Perth and then sends sea container loads of them to Dubi, and many other oil rich countries.
Its big dollars and the demand is greater than the supply.
A very lucrative business indeed.
They also send sea containers of instant turf to the same countries.
Its worth a couple of phone calls for you. You may get a surprise $$ wise
