R Codes/ Development Breakdown for Victoria???

Morning All,

Have just relocated to Vic from Perth.

Does anyone know where I can get a break down of the development R Codes and associated requirements to develop in Vic?

WA had a document under the State Planning Policy which provided extensive detail on the R Codes and development compliance standards.

Does Vic have such a document?

Hi Ben,

Welcome to Vic! It is a bit different here, there aren't R codes. Perhaps start with the zoning and overlay controls by searching for an address here: http://services.land.vic.gov.au/landchannel/jsp/map/PlanningMapsIntro.jsp

Once you create a report you can click on the zones and overlays to be taken to that corresponding part of the planning scheme.

We also have Clause 55 or Rescode which is the state regulation on development standards. That is in every planning scheme in the state, here is a link to the planning schemes online: http://planningschemes.dpcd.vic.gov.au/schemes
