Selling agent fees in Perth

Hi
I was wondering if anyone has experience of commission charged by selling agents in Perth - the property we are looking at selling is around $1.2-1.3M if that makes any difference (inner metro)

Everything is more expensive in WA.:eek:

In NSW 2.2 - 3.3% selling com.

Typically 3.0 - 3.25% selling com. in WA - but everything is negotiatable;)


btw - did you ever end up building in Dalby?

From my experience, most agents have a commission table which shows a sliding scale of commissions charged depending on final sale price - but you should be able to negotiate a lower commission, depending on the agent.

Also, remember to ask them about advertising costs as some will bear the costs themselves (but nothing is free so maybe its factored into the comm %) whereas others will have the seller contribute an amount.
 
Thanks for all the feedback guys. I know an agent who has offered 2% - so I think that is a good deal (mates rates I think - but I wanted to just get a comparison)

Propertunity - you've got a good memory! we are in the process of building in dalby - we got a good deal on some land and the house is going up at a rate of knots. HOpefully finished by june/july
