Sydney short term

Hi, thought someone here might be able to help me or offer advice. I've recently just got a new job, I have 8 weeks training in Sydney, Rozelle area, then I'm off to Rutherford ...

I'll need somewhere to stay that's close to training from around May 5th for around 9 weeks... Does anyone know what my best options might be around this area for short term Accom? Just for one person on a budget =-)

Then I'll need somewhere longer term in Rutherford ... So any suggestions on areas that are nice and areas to avoid it would be very handy!

I'm from/in Victoria...

I don't know much about the area J_P, there's plenty of nice places to stay but their all a bit pricey to my knowledge (Balmain, Glebe, Five Dock, etc.)

Depending on where you end up and whether or not you've got a car, 131500.com is a great website for getting around with public transport (and possibly determining how feasible it is to live in a suburb away from Rozelle & commute).

I found a place for $350 a week near the CBD, but I've lost the link

Seems about $500 a week is the cheapest place I can find ...
