Nice! As far as metal, for me it's Destroyer 666. So brutal.
Only just saw this and am surprised that D666 popped up on here. Great band! Gospel Of The Horns are another great one.. along with Nocturnal Graves.

Yeah, Nocturnal Graves played last Sunday, but it was in Collingwood (I live in St Kilda). Sometimes, not having a car and relying on public transport to get around is crappy.
Hobbs Angel of Death are playing Good Friday, though! Will be there with bells on, worshipping Satan, drinking beers and banging my head! I haven't seen them since they played with Destroyer 666 at The Espy, just before D666 moved to Europe. Should be good.

And in the case of D666, saluting neo-Nazism, fascism and racism! (My husband's a fan, but not for those reasons he assures me!)
I would like for you to point out to me where they are Nazis and 'salute racism'. I am very well aware of the links between *some* metal bands and National Socialism, particularly black metal bands, but I am very careful about supporting bands that support such garbage. I own several D666 albums and know the lyrics to many of their songs. Never have I heard, seen or read anything that I would describe as 'saluting neo-Nazism, fascism and racism'.
My grandparents were sent to the camps by the Nazis in WW2, which makes it personal, so I take that stuff very seriously. Also, I view individual band members as having certain views and the band itself promoting racist/fascist ideals as two different issues.
By the way, below is a picture of KK's wife. She doesn't look very Aryan to me....
Record store owners and record companies are generally savvy enough to exclude overtly racist music from their shelves. However, there still exists a fuzzy borderline where some metal bands overlap and flirt with the skinhead scene, possibly serving as an entree for some individual into overt neo-Nazism.
A good example is the Melbourne death metal band Destroyer 666. You can buy their music in record stores and there is nothing overtly racist about their lyrics. Skinheads regularly attend their appearances, though this may be beyond the control of the band, and the band’s management denies that they are Nazi or racist. Yet the band members clearly socialise with people on the skinhead scene and see nothing wrong with them or their music. In their acknowledgments on their albums, they specifically mention and thank Fortress and Spear of Longinus and British Nazi bands Squadron and Brutal Attack. One of the members of Destroyer 666 also made a mini-CD with members of Fortress and Brutal Attack in 1996. This was an overtly racist album available only through the usual sellers of racist CDs. Furthermore, when asked to name some Australian skinhead bands in an interview, the members of the Sydney nazi band Blood Oath named Destroyer 666 as an example of a band with an "Odinist/WP [White Power] following." Furthermore, the band clearly has an affinity for Nazi symbolism, designating some of their gigs as "Holocaust nights" and terming one tour they made the "Genocidal Eastern Holo-coastal tour."
Yes Fifth, I can lift so-called 'evidence' from Metal Archives as well. Until I see some actual proof that Destroyer 666 have been, as you say, 'saluting neo-Nazism, fascism and racism', then I will have to take your claims with a grain of salt. Until then, I will happily blast Cold Steel For An Iron Age (their best album in my opinion) until I go deaf. I've been told by someone that one of the members of Rose Tattoo is a White Supremacist. When I pointed out that Angry Anderson is Mauritian, they insisted on it being true. Rumours are a breeding ground for the mentally challenged.
Some of the members may have some questionable views and associate with certain 'undesirables', but the band is not, as you allude, some White Power National Socialist group of fascists. Heck, if they were, considering how massively popular they are, the evidence would be overwhelming. I mean, look at Burzum, arguably the most popular black metal artist ever and he is openly NS/WP.
I've had arguments with people who claim to be anti-fascist/anti-racist who listen to Burzum. They just find it easy to overlook the facts, because they want to listen to his music. Personally, I reckon that's a cop out.
wiggles when young
indecent obsession when old.
As far as Burzum goes, Varg took all of that back so it's OK to listen to them
