well this tech illiterate can't even work out how to get photos onto the computer LET ALONE get them into the gallery!!!

Next project I'll go digital or whatever

Lightning

Here you go. The best (luckiest) photo I have ever taken:

I was living at Brunswick in Melbourne in '99 and there was this massive lightning storm. Hoping to get a lightning shot, I setup my CoolPix on a tripod and took about 1000 photos in motordrive mode (10 at a time). These 3 frames were in the mid 700's and by far the best of the bunch.

I sequenced them together as a gif animation, so make sure your browser supports gif animations (eg make sure animations are turned on in your preferences) otherwise you won't see the actual lightning strike (it's on frame 3).

The big blob of light in the middle is the CCD freaking out with overexposure!

are you able to make the photo gallery similar to the discussion forum in terms of highlighting new photos, and being able to mark new photos as read?

A new version of the gallery software has just been released, but I haven't had a chance to download it and look at the features yet.
