Good question! I'd have to ask my mum what she usually gets, I'm pretty sure it's mud crab.
I guess it will depend what prices are like also. My FIL has been catching heaps of Australian Salmon so I've already got a freezer full of fish.

They're a musical fish- especially the piano tuna. The more so when playing their scales.

Try a clam chowder in a bread bowl as well if you can find anywhere that does them.

And of course; you can't go past salt and pepper calimari.

I used to love calimari. I have great memories of a few beers and fried calamari at a Sunday session at Fisherman's warf.
I see my old friend/neighbour has just started a calamari business. It sounds yum but on the other side of Aus for me now.

Some eastern Rock lobsters that we free dive for. going to eat well tonight. cut them in half long ways, so either side is symmetrical, chop up some fine garlic, melt a pot of butter, place the crays on a hot grill shells to the heat, and continually paste the garlic butter on. usually take around 10-12 mins
