Bubye KRudd

I dont think she's really deserving of 'first female PM' title in the same way that Obama deserved 'first black pres' simply because she was handed the reins.

I think she has a much better chance of winning an election than Rudd, but think it'll be a very short term shot at leadership. Most labor party people don't have the know-how to lead a country, regardless of gender.

Yes I do think that most younger women are that stupid.

Yet when they replaced the last puppet with the newest puppet her ratings were huge with most female voters in the 18-35 bracket.

Easy now, I'm 18 and there's no way in hell I want her running my Country!

It will be my first election this year and I still believe even I could do a better job at running the Country than most of these clowns!

Oh well, it will be an interesting election this year..

Maybe one day we'll get an honest politician who actually remembers what it was like to be a "normal" person, stop screwing up our economy and play fair.

Right there.

She was not voted in as PM.

The BER should be forefront, Witzl - I hope it is.

Voters were stupid enough to vote the Kindergarten leaders in to run the school, why would they not think a change of Principal's will stop the incompetancy of all the teachers????

I sincerely hope the country has woken up.

Glad to hear it Lil' one. Tell your friends!:)

what's the difference?

he's driven by himself and called an egotistical maniac, she's driven by union factions, who are egotistical maniacs.

seriously - i think i'm going to pay the fine and NOT vote this year.

rudd's making his speech right now. although i didn't like him as a pm, i do kinda feel sorry for him as a person ... regardless of who you are, to be so overwhelmingly shafted by people that you trusted as your friends mere weeks ago, must be very difficult.

p.s. like gillard even less - to me she comes across as arrogant, cold and only interested in game playing

His stubbornness and arrogance lost it for him in the end. Even with Gillard , labour is still on the nose.
But Labour also knows she is more approachable for the shock jocks - and therefore gives them the best chance going into the next election.

You reap what you sow.

I believe he deserves all that he's getting.

Maybe you're just a nicer person than I am Lizzie. :)

Anyone watching MrRudd live one would think it's a bit late to moan on about unpredictability,as he agonizes over the consequences of being
wrong..willair..

Great...

So now my choice is between some left wing socialist union dominated faction or a hard right loony "womens special gifts" cod piece wearing evangelicast.

I knew we were a prison colony penal state, but surely a few generations of evolution could have produced something somewhat approaching leadership in this vast gene pool of ours? No??

Might have to join Aaron in the fine camp. Couldn't in good conscience vote for either of those options.

Decisions, decisions...

Cheers,
Michael

You vote for the one you least dislike. This way you are doing your bit to make sure the one you most dislike doesn't get voted in.

For me it's more about policies which I believe will be good for the nation moving forward, and the track record of implementing policies and good economic management.

Cheers,
Oracle.

I give credit to Julia Gillard for giving credit to John Howard and admitting the Rudd Government made mistakes.

Her speech is alot better than I would have thought.

What about the BER, Julia?

Was listening to it unfolding this morning on ABC radio. All the ABC journos and presenters, callers etc were treating it like some sort of big celebation. No analysis, just laughs and happy people all round. Go Julia blah blah.

I remember extremely different ABC moods and reactions at the time when Abbott took over from Turnbull.

Predictable though.

Same here. She is saying the right things (as you expect of everyone accepting the mantle). Let's hope there is a little substance there.

What intrigues me is that she admitted to being the prime-mover in the coup, having "blood on her hands" to quote Hawkie. I'm not sure how that fits with the "faithful deputy" face she was wearing yesterday.
