I used to live in Rockhampton when I was 1 -> 7yo.. One of my fondest childhood memories was Dad doing some concreting of new garden bed walls in the backyard..

Whilst the Concrete Mixer was churning away I found a very large Cane Toad and gleefully tossed it into the Mixer.. 2 days later when the timber formwork was pulled away from the new wall there was a VERY alive Cane Toad Leg sticking out and kicking away.. (the rest of the cane toad being encased in concrete).

I checked it every day before school, and the little bugger took another 4 days to die!!
