Having some musings about construction methods for the baby apartment.
I could build it "a la Perth" which is double brick outer walls, concrete pads (ground and middle floor) and single brick internal walls.
OR
I could build it concrete tilt up panels.
- possibly cheaper
- better thermal properties (using modern insulated panels)
- could be quicker
- is commonly used for commercial and apartment buildings
- can be used in conjunction with bricks, weatherboard etc and made to look decent eg http://www.thehomepage.com.au/property/residential/134-ocean-vista-dr-coolum-beach/341380 or http://sanctumdesign.com.au/products/tilt
Thoughts?
