I went to an Adelaide property/business/investing expo today. Most of the franchises now seem to be requesting 15k upfront to be a sales person for them.............am I old and out of step because I remember the days when people used to be on a retainer with commision to go find work for them.

A surprising number of franchises are in my mind buying a job.

There is one slight but important difference. People will work harder and more diligently for themselves than for a boss and often for less money.

So it makes sense for the franchisor. Plus the franchisee can decide when to work.

Anyway I'm looking for someone to join me in turning $40K worth of Indonesian ceramic pots and homewares into a business. Know anyone?

I have a spare office/shop in Adelaide
Must be able to find sales people for a deal like that!
