We took the kids to the beach in the evening last night and it wore them out nicely so that they could sleep through the excitement of Santa coming.

We're having a nice quiet day pottering around and playing with new toys. No functions to go to until tonight when my family come over for dinner.

I usually have a regimented timeline happening for prep and cooking and a cranky attitude. This year I've thrown the list out the window and going with the flow. At some time today I'll cook turkey, potato bake, roast veggies, salad, peas & prosciutto. Maybe make the house habitable for guests
