    Would anyone have an idea of expected yield on retail buildings in this area. I am looking but not sure what yield is good or bad for this area?

    You would be looking at 10%+ only as it is reflecting the risk of low demand & high/long vacancies unless you are sitting in a good strip.

    10% seems high. Are you speaking from experience or the experience of others you know who are invested in the area?

    Considering that you are bearing longer than normal vacancy periods, lower demand, lower rental values, b-c grade tenant appeal - not too far out of the ordinary (same as for regional towns)
