Australian marry a Thai lady - asset protection?

    not just the ladies you need to worry about

    These people paid for their properties but the developer never paid the creditors :eek:

    Crazy - they wouldn't pay upfront for a property in Australia without clear title so why do so in a foreign country. And for $500,000 AUD!

    Off topic. What does this have to do with an Australian marrying a Thai lady and asset protection?

    My point was in Thailand it would seem that it is hard to get good legal advice, this would make it hard to protect assets even after doing all the right things before purchase.

    It is very easy to get good legal advice in Thailand, just like it is here. The trouble is people start doing things overseas that they wouldn't do here,
